Can't get uranium!

So I've researched everything I need to get uranium even nuclear fission. I have two different spots on the map that I am currently working and have mines set up at but I'm not receiving any uranium. I have tried to rebuild the mine with no success.

In your game, neither tile that contains uranium has a mine. They both have partially built mines. A worker is on the uranium near Shanghai. Execute the build mine order and it will build one in two turns. However, the worker stops building the mine at the end of each turn. This may have lead you to believe that the mine was complete, but it wasn't. You probably are running into a known bug (see this thread) in which workers repeatedly stop working for no apparent reason.

I think the only "workaround" is to buy Gods & Kings, which apparently isn't affected. The bug has been known for at least six months now and hasn't been patched.
