Can't Install CivIV on new computer - Vista

Hi, I have CivIV, Warlords and Beyond the Sword - they worked fine on my old XP computer.
Since I had to replace with a new Vista system, I am unable to install CivIV. It's a version prior to Vista release...
This is what I get 1/2 way through installation of the first disc:

Feature: DefaultFeature
Component: Civ4Component
File: E:\data2.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

I've tried compatibility mode to no avail...
Can anyone please tell me what I can do with this?

Have you tried cleaning the disk? Usually (in my experiences) a data2.cab error means the disk is dirty.

Hmm, I did, and have, cleaned the disk, but no luck. Could a scratch be causing it too? There really isn't much obvious damage to the disk...

it might also be a scratch - or some weird glitch with the drive - does it work on another machine? try copyying the files to the hard drive - does that work?
