Can't install on steam...

I traded for a presell a few days ago, and now I have been stuck for hours wanting to play badly =(

I have restarted steam, reinstalled the game, tried so much, and yet it won't download. When I view the DLC for Civ V it still has Civ V Gods & Kings Pre-Order listed. Has anyone found a solution yet? Thanks!

If you're not in the US, then you'll have to wait til Friday to play it .

I have a related question
I am from US but not currently in US. Steam says it's available on June 22nd but I can download it on Amazon right now. The question is, if I download and install the G&K from amazon or green man gaming etc, will it work properly?

If it works, what's the point of the late Europe release?
