So, I have had Civ 5 since it came out. Then I bought Brave New World when it came out. I thought it would have all the previous expansions on it but it does not. So I went and bought Civ 5 Gold edition because it has all the packs up to BNW. I went to install Gold and it installs on my computer but Steam does not show it nor do any of the expansions in Gold show up when I load BNW and I never even got the chance to enter the product key. I deleted everything off my computer then loaded Gold, then loaded BNW. Still nothing. I was thinking of deleteing my steam account and going from scratch but I found out if you cancel your account you can not re-activate the product activation keys. I bought the game for the expansions and I don't want to have to throw it away and buy them off steam. Anyone know how to install Gold edition after installing BNW? It's like Steam see's Gold is older than BNW so it thinks I shouldn't have it so it prevents the install. Help please?

I wanna see some screenshots of what Steam actually is telling/showing you, because otherwise there s no way anyone can understand whats the problem.
BNW is an expansion, Steam will not allow you to activate it without you already having the base game activated before... so what you say sounds pretty impossible.

Sorry if i was confusing. basically I have the original civ 5. I bought BNW and installed it. at that point I realized BNW does not have some of the expansions and leaders, but Gold edition does. So I bought the gold edition and tried to install it to get all of the expansions and leaders. The problem; Gold installs on my computer but when I open Civ to play I do not have any of the gold edition expansions only BNW. I went to steam to see what games are there and Gold is not, only BNW. question: how can I install Gold to get the expansions that BNW does not have. Sorry if this is still confusing I do not know how else to say it. Steam isn't telling me anything about gold edition I never even got the chance to enter the activation key. Thanks for telling me it doesn't make sense so I could try to clarify it.
