Can't Play the Regular Game

The game has been crashing on any regular game I play with this same message.

I have no idea why. I had once put in this world war 2 mod and it required changing the code in the art section in the Units Folder. But I kept a copy of the original and replaced it after the mod didn't work. Now I can't play a regular game of Civ3 unless its a specific mod(Like say Warhammer 2.5 or Age of Imperialism.)

If anyone can answer this, please.

Really? No one has a idea of what I can try to fix it? I already tried uninstall/reinstall.

It's missing a sound file. The only option I can offer is to completely uninstall the game, and reinstall.

I already did that, more then once. For some reason no matter what it doesn't work.

Go to the Worker's configuration file and change the sound effect for Worker Capture. Right now the cinfiguration file is set to use a sound effect that is missing. Just change the setting to use a different sound effect or no use one at all.

Alternatively, go to the directory listed in the error message.
Copy one of the other sound files and save it as WorkerModernCapture.wav
You will not get the right sound but it should get past that error message.

I can't believe this game would crash cause of a missing sound file. A SOUND FILE.

This game is a fragile flower.
