can't see forest/jungle/improvements.

Just started up civ 4 again after a long bout and for some reason I can't see any improvement on the tiles besides roads. The only reason the game is playable at the moment is the option on the map to point out resources more accurately.

I'm sure this is some random button I've clicked but I simply *cannot* figure out what it is! If anyone knows how this has happened I would really appreciate it.

Also my game keeps crashing at a certain year. I've tried clearing the cache but hasn't helped.

I'm runing with an intel duo 2.6gig
4gig ram
gigabyte 250 gtx

One of the buttons just above the mini-map will toggle the clean map option on/off.

Is this just plain Civ 4 or with expansions? Have you patched the game?

No that removes everything. I can see roads units and cities and thats it. I can see the terrain UNDER jungle and forests like the entire world has been clear cut and resources dont show up.
The clean button just removes the rest.

Also game still just crashing at a specific time... very frustrating.
Patched up to 1.61

The latest version is 1.74, try patching to that to see if that cures it before chasing things further.

Yeah its really strange it keeps saying I dont have civ 4 on my comp. Argh. Annoying because I have no idea where my install disc is anymore.
