Can't Standby while C3C is running

See title for problem. I'm running C3C 1.22, and have Windows XP Home SP2 with all high-priority updates installed. It occurs whether I'm at the main menu of Civ or in a game. Standby works perfectly while Civ is not running.

Hibernate doesn't work while Civ is running, either.

Just wondering if anyone else has this inconvenience (a search didn't reveal anything), and if it's possible to solve it with an .ini setting or something similar if it's a widespread problem.

The same thing happens to me, but I guess I never thought of it as a problem. I just assumed the game would not allow it.
