Capital City and Tea Theme vote! ​

The vote to use a Theme when naming our cities has passed overwhelmingly (54% to 8% - with 38% not caring)

Now we need to choose a Theme!
So far, the "Tea Theme" idea has recived major acclaim. This poll is to ratify that notion, or else send us back to the drawing board.

However, before this poll is over, we're going to probably need a name for our capital city.

So far, Inner Sanctum has accumulated the most support - 4 votes – (General_W, azzaman333, Ronnie1, Whomp) – but doen't really fit with the Tea Theme.

So here are your voting options:

1. Capitol: Inner Sanctum. Tea Theme for the Rest
2. Tea Theme all the way – including the Capital
3. Capitol: Inner Sanctum – and find a new theme for the rest.
4. No Inner Sanctum! No Tea Theme! Pick something else!

I believe the team consensus is to stick with a theme, but modify it based on the city purpose and/or surrounding terrain.

Some of the above names lend themselves to that very naturally…

Jade Dew - could be excellent for a city in the Jungle.
Snow Pear Oolong - for a tundra city
Source Mountain – for a mountain by a river
Jasmine Pearls – for a coastal city with clams?
Green Snow Bud – A city with mountains and lots of grassland?
Eight Immortals – Maybe change to Three Immortals – and use for our holy city or Capital?

"Three Immortals" is awesome as capital name, especially as it fits well with Triple Ninja stuff theme.

You just convinced me to vote for pure Tea Theme rather than Inner Sanctum+Tea.

I think "Three Immortals" is a pretty cool Capital City name... so I'm fine with however the vote comes out.

P.S. But I still think "Inner Sanctum" is best

I like the "three immortals", but I'm tepid about the tea theme, it's okay if we go with it (and I don't have any better ideas..), I won't mind, I'm just not terribly excited about it.

Everyone should note that I only spent two short sessions looking up a few tea names as possible examples. Now that we have settled in with the tea theme I'm happy to research more names as needed.

I'm also fine with Three Immortals as the Capital.

Also, ships are good to name I feel, and I'll suggest constellations as a theme for them. Though that's a long time off at this point.

Okay the poll was tea theme 10:1 and we have a long list of tea related names, yet our second city is now called Copper Kettle. I sugest we change it to anything else mentioned in this thread. I guess Wild Amber Ooolong is as good as any other. (No, you don't have to spell it with three o's ).

We agreed to a tea theme sure, but that doesn't mean that all names of cities would be names of particular plantations, for instance. One problem with Wild Amber Oolong is that it is too long for a settlement name.

Orders... please post official orders in the orders thread and i follow. anything else i interpret. for all i knew copper kettle was the name of a tea.
