I am starting the Age of Exploration and getting the message that my capital is not in the trade network. How is that even possible?
Aside from the fact that that seems to be saying that it has no connection to itself, the city has a Fishing Quay plus roads leading to all but one settlement (that a town established at the end of Antiquity, which is also labeled -- accurately -- as not connected). The capital was connected at the end of Antiquity. fwiw, I am constantly seeing weird changes in settlement connections at the start of new ages, although never before the capital itself.
I mean, I really enjoy this game, but the city connections are an unholy mess, and I continue to find it a mystery that the public and Firaxis seem focused on stuff that seems peripheral, when this core system is so unreliable.
