capturing acheron and the held attribute

I'm currently playing ff2040y.exe and I can't figure out acheron. been scouring the threads:

Question 1: if I capture Acheron red dragon with beastmaster (or whatever) can he move or is he held?
this answer changed over the different versions of the game.

question 2: I also built tower of elements and got the big elemental who is held; haste does not counter this, is there any spell to remove held?

First things first. I think you should upgrade to z.

No there isn't. This elemental will stay held forever.
 
1. I haven't tried it since, but a few changes back I believe Acheron was set to lose the Held promo if captured.

2. As far as I know, the elemental that spawns to guard the Tower can never move.... it's job is strictly to guard the Tower, nothing else.

he is not held under player control.

The Tower of Elements' Elemental spawn can not move. It acts as a guardian for that city.

Thanks folks, good to know, just downldd z patch.

I can't beleive how good this mod is, I haven't played beyond the sword in over a year! destroyers? no, I have an arcane barge!!
 
A bit offtopic here:
I can play BTS only because of revolution, dale's combat mod (capturing tiles with culture->influence via combat) and in some good mods like Wolfshanze or Rise of Mankind. It's fun to play a "real world" game with nations popping out here and there. Well, if FFH had a good-working revolutions modcomp I'd be happy (however it would require more minor leaders though to avoid lizardmen->balseraph spawning thingie).
