Can anyone help me find any online, in-depth material for learning the Catalan language? I just need something that covers enough for me to gain a grasp of basic everyday speech, not looking for fluency. Thanks in advance.:)

Why learn Catalan when you can learn Outer Mongolian? It's beyond me...

Curious, this becuase you travelling? - If so you headling to Andorra or a part of Spain? If it's Andorra they speak French and Spanish as well, and most seemed to speak English pretty well when i was there.

I think it's just for pleasure, not travel.

Trajan is known to have a thing for Spanish language. :)

(Which is, of course, always a good thing )

Catalan is not even remotely Castilian. :p

Thanks, one of those sites I've never seen before, I'll have to check it out.

Not travel, at least not anytime soon. But I know in northeast Spain and Andorra, parts of other countries they speak a considerable amount of it in everyday situations.

Yeah, you're mostly right. I know some people from Catalonia, Spain and they're who I'm doing this for.

Yep of course. :D Making good progress in that by the way. Haven't had to bump that Language thread in a while.
