how do i attack a city with a catapult???

Move your catapult within one square of the city. Hit the "B" key for "Bombard". All adjacent squares will now be red, including the city. Point at the city and click.

if defensive bonus for building is still 16 in 1.21 f patch , your catapult will miss most of the time when bombarding a city, that s why i use 1.16 ( def bonus 8 ). Could anyone tell me what is defensive bonus in 1.21f ?

Same as in 1.17. But, you know this is one of those things easily changed in the editor, correct?

thanks for the answer and yes its thru that it can be change easily into editor. i still dont understand why the defensive bonus for building and citizen had been increase from 4 to 16 from original version through patched version. it is ridicoulous to decrease artillery accuracy to such a point.

p.s. i still use 1.16 because of bad reputation of 1.17 and i dont think artillery should be lethal ( 1.21)

There is only the option to make artillery lethal in 1.21. It is not like that by default. So you can go ahead and use the latest patch.

The increase in the defense values of buildings and people was at least partially a result of complaints from the fans. You make think the new values to be no good, but they did listen to the fans, just change them back to something you find more reasonable.
