CCF3 -- C3C Monarch

Ok... if you were on the roster for CCF2, you'll automatically be on the roster for this one, since that game didn't go so well (map size problem). The thread is located here:

The parameters are as of yet undecided. I am NOT going to post this game in the registry until the other players of CCF2 post here and we decide on the parameters.

FYI, if you are playing above the Monarch level (and are not reserved on the roster), you may not join if someone else above Monarch already has. This game is not meant to be a training game, but more of a "welcome to Monarch, let me show you around" type game...

@All: It might be Saturday before I get a chance to mod our new map... If the general concensus (for those of you who have no clue what that means, its ok: everyone) says that we should just start a new map I have no objection to that.

I was kind of hoping for a 200x200 map, but since Wizard's computer is so slow (no offense intended), I think maybe I'll go with between large & huge, I'm not exactly sure what size that'd be right now, but I'll work on it. I can't play this morning, but almost for sure tonight because I dont have school tomorrow (so I dont have to finish my homework)!!! YAY!!!!!!!!

I was hoping for a civ that includes at least one of the new traits. I picked Portugal in the first place because they were seafaring and expansionist (one of my favorite traits). I'd like to be expansionist & industrialus, but I hate the (civ 3) Americans because of their UU, or expansionist & scientific, but I dont want to be Russia. If we're going to be expansionist, we should have the domination victory type turned on.

Well, if you wanna play a big map, I don't definately have to be in this SG, I'm participatong in 3 already... So, if you wanna a big map, I won't have any hard feelings...

well Wizard, u are definatly not the only one who wants to be waiting around just for a turn to complete, and we definatly dont wanna lose a fine player like yourself over a silly thing like map size

Me? A fine player? Man, I've beaten Regent only in the training Conquests by myself...

Well, ok, I'll be in, but I think I won't play maps over large map size.

I only have a 466MHz Celeron processor, so it's a bit too slow fr giga or even mega maps...

Ive been thinking about who we should use. I am leaning towards the Mongols if we are going for a pure conquest/domination win.
If we are going for a diplo win, maybe a civ like the Indians or the French, something with industrial as a trait.
If we going Space Race, definatly a science civ like the Babolonians or the Germans.
I dont think were going culture are we?
Also, maybe we should try a brand new ci or something like that. I had just finished a OCC with teh sumerians. (won, regent)

Also. Are we waiting for 7 or would we be able to go soon, i got an itch to play this game. Cheers.

i dont think we will wait for seven because in the other game we started w/ 4 so, once CCF gives us the word then we'll get this thing rolling.

We definitely aren't going to wait for 7, that might take a while since I haven't posted the game in the registry yet... just haven't had the time. Unlike some civ players (not intended to be rude), I really like to IM my friends rather than play Civ for hours on end.

Understood. I was just wondering like what a ball-park day we would be starting. Didn't mean to upset you if i did. Are you making the map and like te customization of the modpack? Or ill this be on reg style map? Take all the time you need man. I wasnt trying to be pushy at all.

All i am saying is that id like to get in thier and do some damage.

Umm... a great day to start would be maybe Friday. I'm definitely not going to mod the map, that'd take hours. And besides, I really don't feel like it ...
