whats a good program to convert cd audio to mp3?

Musicmatch is supposed to be pretty good, and also any program that uses the LAME encoder. I use QCD with the LAME plugin installed to do my rips.

Trouble with Nero is, most versions only give a 30 day license for the encoder.

Now that's what I call ARROGANCE!

I use Musicmatch, but to be honest the coding wasn't so good on certain genres (heavy sampled remixes). I could hear a lot of hums and whistles that shouldn't have been there.

Unfortunately, I cannot name the track in question without breaking the CFC profanity taboo.
