I am curious - with all the movies and audio voices and hopefuully lots of features, any word yet on whether the game will be released on multiple CD's or DVD or both? I hope they do offer a DVD version...I hate keeping up with multi CD sets... :D

Sorry to hijack your thread but...

Does this guy's picture/sig bug anyone else? Its kind of funny - how can a picture be annoying? I can't believe it bothers me, but it does. Anyone else feel this way?

I agree. And I just don't like babies. Especially weird ones.

Oh yeah... ;) My guess is that there will be a special "Collector's Edition" with a DVD. That's what they do with a lot of games these days.

cant wait to play civ 4 in your dvd player????

and yeah the avatar creeps me out/annoys me. of course thats probably the entire point of the avatar, to creep and annoy.

They better put this one out on DVD. DVD-Drives are cheaper than the game itself will be!

its an old morphed pic. years old.

welcome to 1995.

Not at all ...

It 's an old morphed 'tar I found on the web somewhere ages ago...not sure why I like it but it is not meant to 'creep' and annoy'. But I understand and I apologize to those it bothers; but hey, to each his own. ;) I'll get tired of it and change it sooner or later....usually every 3 or 4 months.

I don't care either way. If DVD means a better game in same time, then I'm all for it.

BTW, his avatar is not that bad looking compared to some... ;)

I assume it will be released on 2 CDs.
Sure, one DVD would be better, but CD-drives are still more common than DVD-drives. Furthermore, this opens the chance to re-release it one year later just on a DVD (Gold Edition...)

You don't have a dvd drive? What kind of comp do you have? Sorry to ask, but I thought almost every comp has a dvd drive by now.
