Dear All

Does anybody know the differences in the time it takes to change a govenment, sometimes I can change in 2 goes sometimes 20.

Is there a reason?????

Non-religious civs spend 3 to 8 turns in anarchy, depending on their size and a random factor. Religious civs experience only a 1 turn anarchy.

Anyone know if there are any determining factors? I haven't done any serious analysis but my impression has always been that the smaller my empire is, the fewer turns of anarchy I am likely to draw. With big empires on a large or huge map I usually pull 7 or occasionally 8, and the only times I can remember getting 4 turns was when I had a modest, not very populous empire on a standard size map. I'd be interested if this was just chance or if there is some equation based on the relative size of your empire.

Just like you, I tend to believe that smaller empire suffers low number of anarchy. When your empire gets bigger, it will be longer. This is based on my experience so far. The best I had with non-religious civ is 2 turns when I had 4 cities in my empire. In a big empire, I usually won`t get any lower number of turns in anarchy than 5.

BTW, religious civs now has 2 turns of anarchy in C3C 1.15!

Once I wasn't a religous civ and managed to finish anarchy in 1 turn (C3C 1.00). It suprised me though it was impossible.

Well once I was with Egypt(Demigod), had Golden Age and changed to Republic.
Anarchy for TWO rounds.

That's all.

Think Religious has been changed to two turns.

Hi!

Bholed: That is why I love the Greeks.

I never had more time in Anarchy then 3 rounds. It was very convienient.
The Difficulty, the map size, and the number of cities was almost the same(the first two were the same, cities were almost[8-10]).

By the way:
BTW, religious civs now has 2 turns of anarchy in C3C 1.15!

I was plyaing Conquest 1.00

That's all.
