I was wondering if it would be possible to change languages in the game, as I have the German version of Civ3 (no expansions) and it's slightly annoying. I assume that changing the Text files would do the job, so would it be possible for anyone to post the following files (or all the text files), send them to rahimia21381@yahoo.com, or direct me to a place that has them: civilopedia, diplomacy, great books, labels, menu, script, and tutorial. That would be really great. Thanks so much, really appreciate it. And I still can't understand Atari's problem here.

Thanks for the link. It seems like the program has translated a little bit, but the vast majority is still in German. I guess the text files are the only solution (the newest version 1.29f if possible!). Thanks though.

How did you and up with a German Version, if you don't want it to be in German?

Well, I just moved here and found it pretty cheap at a store and decided to buy it. Yeah, I can understand bits and pieces of it, but there's a whole bunch of technical and military stuff that I have no idea about.

...because you don't get the cheap English versions in Germany?
For example, I'd need vanilla Civ3; I bought the International version back in 2001, but it's nearly broken in 2 pieces. So, would you buy an English language version for 20+ Euros?

when you said " I just moved here" are you talking about the united states?, and found it cheap here? or moved to Germany and found it cheap there? I just want to understand the situation.

If he'd just moved to the USA, I doubt he would have found a cheap German version in a local shop :) .
