Changing the default screenshot file type

Okay, I don't know where to put this since it's sort of a weird question, but Targa seems like a strange format for screenshot files. Is there a way to change the default to something like PNG or JPG that's easier to work with?

Don't see how it's easier to work with other file types?
Everywhere you're gonna upload it too will automatically convert it to jpg anyway.
And it isn't possible to change it anyway, sorry^^

For whatever reason I'm having a hard time opening the files (Paint doesn't seem to want to, which is... strange). Ah well, I'll figure it out, thanks.

Use MSI afterburner or steams built in screen capture instead, they handle it much better.

Paint is useful if you are one of those crazy (speed-)Paint-artists on youtube. For everything else there are two programs that cover all your image needs in every situation: Photoshop (~1%) and IrfanView (>99%).
