For those like me, without a computer capable of running Civ IV-
I just bought an eMachines T6412 from Best Buy for $500 and it runs Civ IV fine with the integrated graphics
. The opening video is slightly jerky, but not too bad.
The Compaq SR1630NX is an equivalent machine for about $30 more, availabe at Circuit City and Best Buy.
These machines have decent specs - AMD 64 3400+, 512 MB RAM, 200 MB HD, Radeon X200 128 MB integrated graphics, PCIe X16 slot for future graphics card. And please don't start the emachines bashing. They are now owned by Gateway and have a 1 year warranty.
