China's Web filtering

Well, I have broadband in beijing and right now I'm stationed as a web designer in a company. So far I discovered I can go to pretty much anyplace I want on the web in china except I can't go to some chinese sites or any web hosting companies. I cannot reach geocities, spaceports, crosswinds, angel fire, etc. Now don't get me wrong, I can visit pages hosted by those companies and even reach their ftp servers via leech FTP but I just can't go to their main site, weird heh?
