Chronological GP names

When Civ4 was first released, Great People appeared in chronological order. At some point, they changed it so that Great People get a random name from the list. How hard would it be to change it back to the old way? I'm pretty handy with editing XML files, but I've barely touched Python, and I don't know anything at all about the SDK.
