Cities Frustration

My capital can make worker in 5 turns.. i'm with america and expand, but all the other cities are so bad, al need 10 turns for a worker and 60(!) for a temple, and i'm looking for good places.. but still they are bad.. some cities sometimes join other countries.. i get totally mad!

Thats the corruption & waste! Cities that are far away from your capital sometimes use only 1 sgield, no matter how many you collect. I somewhat compensate this by maximizing my food income( no waste or corruption) and thus get my cities grwoing fast and then rushbuild with population! try to get Republic ASAP You'll get Code of Laws on the way so build corthouses in every city before you switch government since you wont be able to rush with population under republic and it's unlikely you'll have enough money for rushing...
