Hi, in my Civ 5 games most of the cities don't change their appearance throughout the ages. They will stay in the Ancient/Classical era appearance until Industrial Era, and then they just stay in the Industrial Era appearance. And IMO they're really ugly when you have the a middle eastern style building set and you're in Industrial age. Brown and gray skyscrapers :P
I see the AI's cities change into Modern and Future style cities but not mine (most of the AI, actually).
Am I missing something?

A comparison between my city and Ghandi's city.

P.S. I'm on a mac.

Also, I've noticed that Middle Eastern City States have more shiny looking cities than mine or Arabia's. (Next Post)

1. please dont bump your post unless it goes to the second page.
2. i dont understand your point as you complain about your cities appearance in different eras, but do not show a pic of the same city in each era. You compare different cities from different civs, to city states, and to cities with fog of war on. I see nothing wrong with your pictures as you are trying to compare apples to oranges with pictures and your complaint is about apples to apples.

Something is wrong...Your (and Arabia's) cities have the "Europe" style, whereas Tyre has the real "Middle East" style...

I dunno...bug, maybe?

It seems like it, all my cities in ancient era have the same exact loo (the one of Mine and Arabia's). Does anyone know a fix? Because when I play Rome or Greece I don't get the Medditerrainian set either, just the European one. Is there something editable that determines what cities look like?

EDIT: weird...the image isn't showing up...right-click the little icon and click open in a new tab and you'll see what I mean with Rome.

Is there any way to fix this? I sent a support ticket or whatever it's called to 2k but they still haven't gotten back to me...

Whether this is a bug or just something that they didn't include in the game, it isn't something that is going to fixed over night. There are dozens of more important bugs and other things that need to be done in the game. The appearence of cities is not a big deal. I have never even noticed it because of I have never paid attention because the important parts of the game are the play. Graphics are just candy on top of it.

Please be patient and if it is a bug, then they will get to it when they can.

I was just wondering if its something I can change myself, for example something in the files? I don't have any knowledge in this category so I wouldn't really know.
EDIT: I sent a ticket to Aspyr, and they got back to me pretty quickly. They said that it will be fixed in the next patch, so no point in having this thread anymore.
