I've replaced the an_eu.nif with a blank nif to remove all buildings since I believe a space mod should start with no thatched huts....I tried to sub in a few simple shapes, but nothing was working so I opted for bare ground. I changed the all_an_lots to plain untextured ground as well, but nothing I do can remove this lone building from my city plot. It's in the screenshot and I want it gone!

Anyone have any idea where this building is coming from and how to remove it? I'm almost postive it has nothing to do with the resource since I've seen this lone building in the woods as well, but maybe it is.

Thanks

Worked when? So it's defaulted to worked at the inception of a city?

Checking....

Thanks

I went in and looked around the shared files and found the eu_an_building dds file and c/p my city plot dds for it. Here's the result:

I removed the texture, but the building is still there....anyone know where this nif is located? I'm on the hunt!

i think it's there: art\structures\improvements\landworked

I've found the sm_farm_house right there 0d1n, thanks, but swapping it with a blank nif causes a CTD, swapping in a new graphic is also causing a CTD. The beat goes on....

I changed nif files in the Civ4ArtDefines_Improvements and I still get the white farm house! I've cleared my Custom Assets and it's still there!?!?! How can the art be getting selected when it's supposed to look somewhere else?

i've found it: it "hides" in the CIV4PlotLSystem.xml. search for sm_farm_house.nif :)

More CTDs when I messed with that file. I did a compromise and skinned that dds to something less ancient looking.

That's good enough for now...

Woodelf, you have two choices...
1. To open up the nif file for the cottage, and delete the object.
or..
2. Colour the texture file for the cottage transparent, however I prefer the first one ;).

I hope that would help...

Cham - renaming the nif and replacing it with another file always gave CTDs unless I was missing a step.

Prestidigitator - Thanks. I did that with the city graphics and never thought to do it with that nif as well.
