Hello,

I just got the game at last !

I have a question for you guys, i used the search engine of the forum, but i didn't find the answer.

How city improvement maintenance cost Work ? In civilization 3 each building had a different maintenant cost, for exemple a temple cost 1 Gold each turn.

The money advisor is not very useful and don't give details, i hope they will correct it soon.

The big answer is:

a big ZERO!

That's right (and it IS mentioned in the Soren Johnson text at the end of the manual), buildings cost absolutely nothing to maintain in civ4. Instead, it's cities that cost as you get more or build farther from your palace/forbidden palace.

I've read in several places (including Sulla's excellent Walkthru) that there is no longer maintenance costs for individual buildings. Rather, each city incurs a cost based (I'm sure) on city size.

Hope that helps!

Mark

Thanks you, my bad i didn't read all the manual yet (more then 200 hundreds pages).

Do you known the mathematic equation ?

Rather, each city incurs a cost based (I'm sure) on city size.

Do you known where we could find this cost based for city size ?
