[GS] City state eurika quests vs. villages eurikas/boosts

So it seems like, if I get a tech/civ boost from a village, while a city state has the quest for the same tech/civ I do not complete the city state quest?
As far as I've understood it you cannot trigger the eurika for a tech if you already received it through a village - so is that city state quest just dead?

Seems like a bug to me. The quest wants you to get a eureka. The tribal village gives you that eureka. This should by all means solve the quest.
How does it display? Does the city state still show you the quest oder did it just vanish? If it vanished, are you sure you did not receive the envoy as reward? Maybe the notification was just missing.

The quest is still showing so that's why I get confused.. I'm quite sure this has happened on multiple occasions

In the past it has worked for me and I think it has been late last year after the last patch I have gained them. Certainly I have not had then stuck like you are stating. Once a eureka has passed by the quest disappears whether you got it or not. You have mods?

No, I don't use mods.. I'll see if a can mage a couple of screens hots next time it happens
