City Template in Excel Format

I have learned alot from this site, and one of the main things was city specialization. The only problem I have been having since I'm new to this, is keeping track of how to improve the land and what (if any) wonders I want built in each city. It's easy in the begining but once I have 6 or more cities, I'm spending more time trying to remember how I wanted things, than actually playing the game.

I created this template in Excel XP format so I could have something in front of me to keep notes on for each city. I can see this helping newer gamers more than veterans, but it might be useful for anyone. Give it a try and let me know what ya think.

*Note: I had to install an evaluation copy of winzip to upload this, as this site doesn't allow excel files (.xml) or WinRar (.rar). If there is a problem let me know.

Wow. That's a scientific approach to the game. :goodjob:

Personally I dont like to keep all these calculations in written form, but i'm sure some hardcore players may find it useful.

Very nice tool for folks patient enough to use something outside the game. Not being that patient myself, I tend to use the built-in sign feature (Alt-S). I just thought I'd mention it since I didn't even discover it until a few months after I started playing!

Using Alt-S I put a sign on each plot saying something like "m w" (short for "put a mine here, then a windmill later") and on each city with something like "HE, WP" (meaning Heroic Epic & West Point).

I think I would use this for a PBEM game definitely. I am lacking on the dedication to use it for a regular 1 player game though.

It is nicely done, thank you for sharing! :)
