I have windows vista and i'm wondering if i could still play civ 1 on it.

There are three versions of Civ 1. Without knowing which one you are running people can't help easily.
I had no luck trying to run CivDOS on Vista. I have to use DosBox.
I haven't tried CivNet or CivWin on Vista.
I can run CivDOS and CivWin on my XP netbook. I don't own CivNet to try.
