Civ 3 Crack not working

So I downloaded this great torrent that got me the original civ 3 and conquest. It also came with cracks. I mounted the .iso and installed the game as usual with Daemon Tools Lite. I replaced the civilization3.exe with the cracked one. When I click on it however, it just immediately says "Civilization 3 has stopped working" and prompts me to close the program. Something tells me because I'm running Windows Vista is the problem but I have no idea. Can anyone help me out?

It sounds like you're looking for help running a pirated copy of Civ3. If so, that's frowned upon here & the thread will be locked soon. You can find a legal copy pretty cheap at Amazon, Ebay, etc. You can still find it at some brick-and-mortar retailers, too, but you have to hunt a bit.

If not, I don't understand what you're talking about.
