Hey, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a tutorial on CivFanatics or elsewhere where it teaches you the basics of creating a unit in Blender and importing it into Civ 4. I finally have some free time and I want to create some models for my budding Stargate mod (see sig below). I know there's a tutorial for 3ds Max, and there's one for importing from Blender, but I'm looking for a combination of the two based on Blender in a Civ 4 context. Any help would be appreciated. :)

This might not cover everything, but at least the rigging part:

also there are:

more or less a basic tutorial: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=6943734

another import description: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=167335

it is a leaderhead tutorial, but some aspects also apply to units: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=267233

can also help sometimes: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=366698

a bit advanced (covers animations): http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=296286

even if you use Blender, you still need Nifskope for some steps: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=305606

a bit older, but perhaps alsop useful (also Nifskope): http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=271331

In some of the linked tutorial threads are also links to discussions covering certain topics / answered questions.
