Civ 4: BtS flashes black on retina MBP

Just unwrapped my MBP and downloaded Civ 4 BTS from Steam.

Everything looks great, but every two turns or so the screen flashes black.

It would do this on my old 2007 MBP if I cntrl+tabbed out and came back.

Any ideas?

I get that too, on my non-retina MBP. It's something to do with Lion/Mountain Lion as it never happened before that. Can be avoided by playing in a window instead of fullscreen.

nah, does it for me in a window :/

does that for me occasionally. i just restart the app and if that doesn't work reboot the computer. this seems to solve it for me.
