Civ 4 will not run

I was able to play the game after downloading it the first time Every time after the inital download I try to open the game I get an error message.

ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00077c9c

I have installed all the new drivers for my system and checked all my system requirements. All system requirements are what is required to run the game.

HELP!!

try patching the game to the latest version v1.79 (I think) If that doesn't work reinstall the game
