So I have a perfectly fine copy of civ 4 and a perfectly fine laptop with windows 7 but without a cd rom. So I decided to copy the two discs of civ 4 from another computer and upload in on my USB so that I can install civ 4 on my laptop without the cd rom. The installation went fine and I copied the contents of my USB into my laptop. After the installation was over, I opened the game (as administrator and compatibility in windows xp) and it keeps telling me that to insert the correct disk. Does anyone know what the problem may be here?

Copy protection. Basic Civ 4 needs the disc in the drive to run. The US version of complete (with Colonisationa) and the 3.19 patch for Beyond the Sword have the copy protection removed. The basic game does not.
