So....over the past 12 months I have attempted to isolate the cause and solutions to this game crash I've been experiencing on seemingly random occasions after literally thousands of hours playing. With no luck.

This crash has occurred with both G&K and BNW.

The game crashes under 2 circumstances.

1. Crashes in between turn cycle (when AI is taking its turn).
and 2. When I move a unit into fog of war or area without vision (white fog/grey fog.)

I've played with and without mods and have ruled them out as the source of this crash since it occurs whether or not mods are activated. I usually play on huge size maps with 22 civs and 24 city-states - which shouldn't be a problem with my 9 month old PC - dxdiag attached. (i7-2820, 32gb ram, gtx 680 2gb, x-79 mobo, windows 7.) I also use a 120mhz monitor (BenQ).

The game will run smoothly up to about the medieval era when crashes begin to occur under the above mention circumstances. Crashes will them become more and more common as the game eras progress up to a point where it happens every 10-15 turns - and thus killing my immersion in the game.

The crash can be described as the game freezing up with a continuous BDBDBDBDBDBD sound loop. Can ctrl+alt+del to end civ 5 process but must restart to get rid of sound loop.

I've also attached the MDMP crash file from the game.

I have done all the usual busy work in attempting to remedy this. All drivers are up to date, verified integrity of game cache on Steam, lowered graphics settings, set allow leaderhead to = 0, windowed mode, etc. with no success.

Any help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated and rewarded with 10,000 influence points & all my lux resources. :goodjob:
