Civ 5 Gods and Kings did not autosave

I loaded a game with the celts, did not like the land and reloaded the game again. I didn't settle just moved my warrior around. During one of my moves the game locked up so I shut my computer off. The game did not autosave as normal. has that ever happened before?

It was autosaving for me. Maybe it was because you didn't settle?

I tested it on another game and that game did autosave no problem. which is crazy. i thought maybe bc the game locked up during one of the movements. After I shut the computer down it went then through some updates and now everything runs smoothly. but it makes me feel crazy because there is no record of the game, but i never did anything like settle, but it still should have autosaved.
