I recently tried one of the methods for accessing the map editor in Civ 6. It involved creating a Mod file called TZ, a modinfo file, a text file, and a map. Everything went well (I could access the editor, edit the map, place start locations, etc., transfer the map into the mod file, and select it in the game's menu). But, when I try to play the map, it causes the game to crash every time. Any ideas?

Well assuming everything else was done right, world builder currently crashes if you set any civilizations manually in the world builder meaning you can only have random civs set through the world builder. It also use to crash if there wasn't enough start locations for civilizations/city states in the start screen (I'm not sure if it does this anymore).

What did you do? What did you edit?

I encountered many annoying things in World Builder but my custom map is now finished and never crashed.

Keep rolling saves in World Builder and export + test the map regularly.
