[CiV Complete] Warlords won't start

I'm having a weird issue with Civ Complete.

BTS and Vanilla start and play just fine, but the Warlords exe won't even give me an error message. I get the hourglass for 5 seconds and then nothing happens.

Is this an issue anyone has an idea about?

It occured to me that maybe a patch could solve the issue. I managed to install the BTS patch without any problems but since I can't start Warlords I can't use the auto-update feature.

I manually downloaded the patch for Warlords but when I tried to run it couldn't find Warlords on my computer. This isn't vista btw so it isn't an issue with administrative rights, though it does seem like it is a registry issue.

The Civ Complete is the Gamersgate download version if that makes a difference.

Is there an item in the Windows event manager when this happens?

I don't get any type of message at all. No windows pop up or anything.

If you mean if the error is shown on a log somewhere, I wouldn't know cause I don't know where to look. Does windows records logs of application errors somewhere that I should be checking?

Just in case it helps solve this, the log that I get after trying to start Warlords says only this:
