Civ III: Conquests Patch Fix Request

PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz make it so Commercial Civs dont just make more money, but have LOWER Corruption like it says there Sopposed to. I would reduce it by 5% or (10%). Isnt that what u people have been working with on corruption, 5's? ive been waiting for that since Civ3 plzzzzzzz dont finnish the game without that!!



JET FIGHTER's Require a Defence of 8!!!!!!!!!!! F-15 = Defence of 8

Fighter's Require a defence of 4!!!!!!!!

those are the only 2 flaws. AirCraft, and Commercial, if u fixed AirCraft, I would not have to make a Scenario anymore. A Stealth Fighter ***CANNOT*** Defend better then an AirSupperority Fighter!!!!!!!! TeTurkan is a buddy of mine on Windows Messenger. And he Loves my Ideas and knowledge.

I also think the little airport symble next to the city on the map, needs to turn RED or something to show that the city has allrdy used it's AirLift, and I dont have to put a unit there to find out.
I also WISH i could ZOOM out as far as I can in The Editor, that would make the game soo much cooler.


Helicopters = opp range of 8 would be cool, to out do paratroopers

it just so happens believe it or not, that alot of the changes u made, i had allrdy made on My Scenario for PTW, I forgot about ship movement, good call, I had alot of settings the same, I also had Stealth Bomber with att of 16 on PTW, but I like 18 better! Range = same

Great Changes, I was happy reading about them. before I had the game right away.
 
The Ability to Destroy a Planet, is insignifagent next to the POWER of The Romans!!

One thing which annoys me more and more is that in the game load list, when you have stored a lot of saves, it is very hard to find the last save. Even worse, since the default is "<name>of the <insert civ>.<date>" you may find a save from 1340ad next to one of 1375bc, then 1380ad, 1475bc, and so on.
This is confusing and just a primitive way of displaying the list. :-(

I mean, it shouldn't be too complicated to translate a date of x years bc to (-x) and one of y years ad to (+y). Then, for a certain name and civ, all saves would be in chronological row, as one would it expect to be.

I am the Dutch. Standard Map / Monarch vs 5 civs.
I started the game prior to installing 1.15beta
I get the swiss mercenary, then discover gunpowder. I don't seem to be able to build musketmen. I look, and yea, i have saltpeter!
Ok, but i can't build musketmen.
Swiss mercenary 1/4/1
Musketman 2/4/1

I look in the civlopedia and it says Musketmen upgrade to Siwss mercenary!?! Then Swiss mercenary upgrades to Rifleman!

Has this been reported? Is is a bug or am i wrong?
I will supply save game on request, i have made a separate save file. THanks!
 
I think the way to save the game should be as follows

Civilization type Date(game, it updades) Datesaved
ex.
Romans scenario 350BC 2/6 8:34 pm

I think that instead of creating a new file with a different game date if you select to overwrite a previus save game the date will update.

thats all the better the save list can be. But what i do is go to My Computer and Conquest Saves, and I have the list, Listed by Date Created. I have No problem figuring out what game is what, and figure out what game to load before i load it.

it does say musket upgrade to swiss, however, i dont think the dutch are supposed to have them becuse they are replaced by the Swiss. Musket upgrade to swiss, but musket u cant build. So theres no Musket. and WHY would u want them, for attack? Swiss are 30 sheilds, musket are 60. U dont need them.
Iplay with the Editor alot and thats how they work around units, upgrading them. for expample in some scenario's, units to the Britsh will upgrade to units for the French first, but that never happens. British units just upgrade to British units. So dont worry about the Musket thing. there 2 dif units, if u up to musket first, then get the tech to build swiss. The Musket has been removed, 2 dif units. the swiss dont have nor want them!
You DONT want Musketmen as the Dutch!! And i dont believe there is No error there.
 
Well, this is technically not a request for a patch to Conquests, but I suppose you could include it with the Conquests patch:

Allow vanilla Civ to be played with the Conquests CD in the computer. It is very annoying to have to change CDs to play the different versions.
 
I was just testing some stuff in my mod and discovered that, although I can not attack the AIs city with a hidden nationality unit, the AI can take my city with his...

Apparently, this is a former PTW bug that's now back in Conquests ???

Would be nice if it could be fixed.

Here's a BUG im sick of.

why can the Computer do Military Allience from day 1, but you have to wait till Late Middle Ages?:mad:
 
i posted this in the bug patch forum, but i thought i'd post it here too.

it's a problem with subs and the AI's pathfinding. if an opposing Civ moves a non-sub detecting ship (cruiser, battleship, carrier, transport, etc.) and they run into a sub, instead of going around, they'll declare War and ATTACK! and it's not like the sub's blocking a water bottleneck and there's no way around, they'll still declare war instead of going around the sub.

i noticed is i moved a surface ship over my sub, the AI Civ will go around my ship & sub without incident. so the only way to avoid this problem at the moment is to escort a sub with a surface ship, which the AI plainly sees and circumnavigates.

personally, i don't like this solution 'cuz the advantage of submarines is stealth, particularly with Tactical Nuke-carrying Nuclear Subs. if i escort them, the AI will plainly see that i have warships looming off their borders, which inhibits the Nuke Sub's element of surprise.

Eh, what bug?

You can sign a MA when you have an embassy (you need a contact, writing and some gold) and when you or your desired ally are actually at war with the target civ.
No war - no MA.
 
1) When you recapture u own worker it become foreign worker...
2) On a SID level AI got free units(settlers) that are not allowed in scenario to build. Could you check allowance before adding free units.

Please modify AI to load same movement (and may be level) units in the army. It is annoying to see comming army that consists of 3 Cossacks and 1 musketeer or even archer....

when u capture a Foriegn city, and u build worker. When the worker is done, he is a Foriegn worker, but looks like 1 of your workers.
when u reload the game from a save, the worker looks like a slave. but until u relaod, he looks like 1 of your workers.

There is a bug with the Multiplayer issue that allows me to cheat and see the other players Civilizations. However i do not wish to report this bug as not to many people are aware of it and I do not want it fixed. I use it sometimes if I want to make sure i will secure the Wonders. So.... plz do not fix it.

If u want details of this bug anyone, then u might want to check other sites, where i have listed the details of the bug. :lol:
 
Justinian III, The bug related to loading PBEM's is well documented and Tavis is aware of it.
 
... additionally, everyone who is interested into "fair" MP-games should like this bug to be fixed ASAP....
