CIV issue

Ok this may have already been answered but here is my question.

I have downloaded two custom CIV's using the Mod section in CIV5. With in that same mod section they are downloaded and the little green check is activated.
Now when I go to the Mod section and start a single player game the two new civs don't show. I unselected one of the civ's and tried again but still don't see the new civ that remained checked. So how do I get these to show?

See the "Getting your custom Civ to show up in game & Worldbuilder after patch 1.0.0.62" sticky at the top of this forum... the patch cleaned up some old code... and unfortunately many of us modders included it in our mods so now they don't work. I've since cleaned my mod and will be posting a new version of the Portugal mod in the next day or so.
