Hi Folks!

I played Civilization quite a lot and i wonder if i can download the sounds from somewhere!
Most funny was the sound when a unit was attacked. A hint anyone? I don't really want be put a mic in front of my speaker und rec this sound. If i'm right, it was even a speaker sound. Not the one of the glorious soundblaster! :)

It had soundblaster support, but didn't really work. The DOS version at least.

I don't think the sounds are anywhere to be downloaded, but you can record it. Just start a sound recorder program, start recording and make all the sounds happen. Then cut, paste, etc. and isolate the sounds and save it.

I can't explain it step by step (too much work), so if you don't follow me, a microphone in front of the speakers might be the only solution then.

Recording pc-sound, is a little harder. But I believe it is possible to let the pc-sounds go through the soundblaster. Don't know how though, you might want to ask in Computer Talk.

Hmm...

Thx for the hint! I played in DOS mode and didn't event know, there is a windows version?!
And the funny sound was unfortunately not with soundblaster but with speaker! So i think i have to take the dirty way and record the sound. But at first i should get Civ running on my operating system!
Wasn't there a linux version for Linux calling itself FreeCiv or something like that?!
