Which version to get?

Hi guys!

Which version of Civ2 is the best one to get at the moment (with alle the videos, music and sound working)? Is there somewhere an "ultimate" patched version or something I can buy/download?

I have this version but when I try to execute it I get a blue error message saying that I can't run it on this computer (Windows 11 Pro).

Nevermind, got it all set up and running with movies, sound fx and music.

For Gold and ToT there are patches that can mostly get everything running. For regular Civ2 I have found the only way of really getting it to work is to use Win3.1 on DoxBox or Win98 on a Virtual Machine of your choice.

Ok yeah I use Win XP in virtualbox. DirectX must work lol!

Multiplayer Gold Edition with patches should run just fine. This will get you the videos:
