Hello. I'm working on converting some Star Wars: Galatic Battlegrounds characters for use in Civ3. Right now I'm working on Darth Vader, and on his chest plate and on the tail of his cape are blue highlights, my question is how can I make that blue (or add another colour there) so that it will change to a civ specific colour? I can't find any info on this anywhere, if you can help it'd be appreciated.

You have to do some pallette editing. It is kind of difficult to explain though.

If you post the final storyboard.pcx, I am sure someone could alter the pallette to get civ-specific colors going. I could as I did it with my SWGB Wookie conversion not too long ago.

Why are you making a Darth vader unit wouldnt it be wierd to have tons of them running around, oh wait its the king unit right;)

(edit) By the way this is my post 300!!

The easiest way to do this is first completing your unit flc conversion. After that, find one of the original Civ3 unit that has the closest color scheme as with your Darth Vader unit and uses blue as its Civ color. Export that file into 8 direction flc with Flicster. That should give you a .pal file. Just resave your Darth Vader flc file using that .pal file and now all the blue spots in your flc become Civ color. :)

Use file-->save as....a menu will appear, click on the customize button and change color to 256, use custome palette-->browse--> choose the .pal file.

Also remember to reduce the color by choosing Nearest Color option.

Hope that helps. :)
