Revolutions is NOT Civ V. It's a simplified arcadey console version.
If they made that into the PC version there'd be riots at dawn.

I think revolutions is more of an experiment to see if Civ can be highly profitable in the console market. Basicaly video games can be profitable on the PC platform, but earnings are much higher for succeful console games, and I think fireaxis is using Civ Rev to test the waters so to speak. I don't think it'll be much of an "improvement" or next step type game, like you'd expect from a Civ V, but it'll be more of a change from the standard Civ dynamics so that the game better targets the console market.

Porting the Civilization franchise to gaming consoles would be a huge mistake. Gaming console are the domain of action based games that immerse the player into the gaming world (ie: Grand Theft Auto). The computer is perfectly situated for turn-based programs that include a complex help system and complex in-game menu system. You just take for granted the ease of navigation when using a PC. Besides, porting the game to a console and possibly requiring the purchase of a console keyboard and/or mouse would essentialy make that console a PC. So, tell me where the upside is in this?

The forum rules say:

Postcount titles & avatars.
Each poster has a title and an optional avatar image shown below his/her username. The default titles are Chieftain, Warlord, Prince, King, Emperor, and Deity. The minimum postcounts required are listed below:

Chieftain (Minimum Posts: 0)
Warlord (Minimum Posts: 100)
Prince (Minimum Posts: 300)
King (Minimum Posts: 600)
Emperor (Minimum Posts: 1000)
Deity (Minimum Posts: 2000)

You can also put a picture, or avatar, under your name. There are hundreds of Civish avatars for you to choose from.

If you have 30 posts AND have registered for 30 days, you can give yourself a custom title and a custom non-animated avatar. The dimension limit of custom avatars is 70x70 pixels and size limit is 4 KB. You can change your title or avatar in your User CP.

So basically, the highest rank is 'Deity' with 2000+ posts - however, after 30 days and 30 posts you can get a custom user title, which is what most people do. The Site Feedback forum is the place for questions like this (it's the second-to-last forum in the index).

And on-topic, Civ V sounds good but I'm not sure what else they can add to improve on Civ IV. But of course, 'A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.'
