I bought Civ2 MEG a long time ago...waaaay back in 1998. I played it a little bit, but didn't take time to learn how to play it, got bored with it and shelved it. I bought CivIII when it came out. I love that game. Well, I'm home over the break, and my parents' computer is way out of date and slow. But, I found my civ2 cd, installed it on the old computer and played it once again, with fresh eyes. I had a very quick game as the Celts and defeated the Germans in 390BC with almost a thousand points. It was great! It is actually a pretty quick and fun game when you want it to be! I miss playing CivIII, but I think having the older game for the next few weeks will keep me entertained if nothing else.

If you had to be stuck with 1 game.....you got the right one.

You guys should be happy you have access to Civ3. I can't find it anywhere in China and I'm not quite willing to order it from the net...:(

Civ 2 MGE is probably the best game ever! :)

Civ 3 feels like a game that you will not play for more than a few months. I've played civ 2 for 5 years now and must say that I would never change it for civ 3 or any other game, :)

I like the streamlined feel of CivIII over Civ2...but one Civ is better than no civ.

What's the difference between MGE and Normal Civ2?

multiplay
the ability to read events.txt
hostile AI(not improved or tougher, just hostile)
more units slots
scenario editors(only the events editor is any good,3rd party apps are much better for the rest)

I haven't touched civ3 in over a week.Too busy with civ2 mp and gotm11 :)
