where can i find the original .bic file on the cd. i screwed around with mine too much(yeah i know i should have backed it up first)

Yeah, doing that sucks. I've done that a couple of times myself.

I'm not sure if you can extract the .bic directly from the CD (I tried and couldn't do it), but you could try uninstalling & then reinstalling the 1.17f (or 1.16f) patch.

Doing that should suffice in recreating the .bic file in your Civ III folder.
