CIV4 do not start anymore

Hi, CIV4 do not start anymore

HP computer + vin 7

I have the following message

Initialize Render Failed. Check Directx Installation,Latest Graphics Drivers and graphics settings
Parameters :
-width=1024
-height=768
-flags=0xc
-hwnd=0x1708ac
-adaptrid=0
-deviceid=3
Error:Creation Failed:Invalid 3D device type

I have reinstalled CIV4,Directx but nothing works
Graphics card working OK , checked through windows !

same here, i wanted to play it this morning and I got the same message, I'm using the latest Directx9 version, downloaded it twice, and it still doesn't work..........
