hi

Let me explain first so you can understand the setup.
I have the community patch mod installed for Civ5 (all DLC and things are installed)
1 Community Patch (V.89)
2 Community Balance Overhaul (V.13)
3 City state Diplomacy Mod for CBP (V.27)
4 C4DF - CBP (V.11)
and 5 6a and 7a etc

I started a game but one of the dependents were missing from the selection I made and
the game did not start. so I had to disable module 6a because it was giving errors and spitting out errors that textures could not be found which I gather was in the CSD module.
After I disabled module 6a the game seem to start normally and worked.

So I started a game and as usual I purchased some buildings.
As the game went on I noticed that although I purchased the buildings, the buildings were not constructed it only lowered the time say from 5 turns to 3 turns? Some buildings start off at 1 turn so buying them has no benificial effect whet so ever. you just waste your money.

I liked the old feature where when you buy a building it is bought and built and not have to then go back and select the build. in effect you end up purchasing the building then have to select it again to start building it.
Which is really crazy in my opinion.

I would appreciate it if someone could point out a file I can edit to make it revert back to the old way if possible without removing the the community patch.

Try reinstall first. All must work without editing or disabling.
Purchase decreases cost by 50% or 25% for wonders. There is a tooltip in city view about that. It is always good to purchase, even when city can build building in one turn(hammers will go to next what’s produced)

It may appear the game is running, but there will be bugs if you did not enable the 6a. You probably have a mod ID conflict. Have you subscribed to More Luxuries, City State Diplomacy, Civ4 Diplomacy, Community Patch or any other mod using WHoward's Various DLL Components? If yes, unsubscribe and delete these mods (check the MODs folder in your file manager), then delete VP and re-run the autoinstaller.

hi
I did read on Steam that they are not compatible so I have deleted them all.
I only have Immigration and caravans build roads.
and the what I refer to as "Community patch" because I downloaded the mod in exe and ran it.
When it ran it asked me what mods I wanted to install but I was not knowledgeable enough to select them as I only wanted luxuries
and State diplomacy and one other mod that was only available through this exe mod.
Apparently the exe was created so that it would be easier for persons such as me.

I guess it can't be 100% fool proof.
I forget what it was called and can't seem to find it on my machine to reinstall.

Would you guys know what the original exe mod file is called?

Could it be Vox populi?

I was reading it on this website but I am not too good in understanding.
What should I select from the list to install? the no EUI or with EUI or some other thing?

The exe is Vox Populi.
Before installing, make sure to unsubscribe for any mod on the steam workshop which is somewhat related to Vow Populi (so in particular, More Luxuries).
During the installation, I advise you to chose "Vow Populi, no EUI", as while "with EUI" is better, it is the cause of more installation problems, so start without.
In the MODS folder, each of the mods of Vox Populi should start with a number under parenthesis. Start by enabling (1),(2),(3),(4),(5),(6b), those are the minimal number of mods require for Vox Populi to work properly, so start by enabling only them.
[Note: if you chose "with EUI", (6b) is replaced by (6a)]

Also, just making sure, you downloaded the "exe" from here, correct?

https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/community-patch-how-to-install.528034/

The file is called "Vox Populi (date created).exe" btw.

Then you should be good if you follow what @Moi Magnus wrote. Although, if I understand correctly, you wanted to download only the Community Patch, because it was required by some other mod? Then you should not choose the full Vox Populi package, but only Community Patch (which fixes the Civ5 bugs, improves AI greatly and adds function hooks for other external mods). I recommend the full Vox Populi though, it's amazing.

Yes. I downloaded it from there but because it says to make it easy I assumed just run and it would be fine.
I reinstalled Vox Populi (7-29-1).exe but I got the same problem as before,

I got these missing textures errors:

DC45 - Display overview.dds
DC45 - Advisor Counsel.dds
DC45 - Great Works.dds
DC45 - Culture.dds
DC45 - Espionage Overview.dds
Toppanel Golden age.dds
Menu Button.dds
Helpbutton.dds

I could not get a screen shot but got a picture.
Here is my list with 6a disabled because of said missing texture files

It takes forever for game to start but once started there were red squares where the buttons should be.
I wanted to get a screen shot of the list of mods but I only got a black screenshot.

I will try and follow what Magnus wrote.
What should I select for full install?
Do I need to uninstall what I have installed now?

I could not get a screen shot but got a picture.

Seems like EUI didn't install. Try this:
Download UI_bc1 from here https://mega.nz/#F!fcsEhALY!XpWbkVod5utm-S1s-7TUhQ it's the manual install link
Find your Civ5 install directory and extract the above to assets/DLC if it's not there.

I just reread the page it looks (visually) clear but it means nothing to me like:

  • CBO - Compatibility Mod (EUI Version):
This mod makes the CBP and all mods listed after it (above) compatible. Use this version if you have installed the CBP version of EUI.

Guessing CBO is Community Balance Overall.
What is CBP? Community Balance Patch? I thought it was called Community Balance Overhall in which case shouldn't it be CBO?
What does this mean > "...Use this version if you have installed the CBP version of EUI." > Isn't this part of the exe file?

Ok it does say at the bottom if you read on:

"...To download EUI, please click here: Latest EUI Version"
So it seems that you need to get this file separately.
I click on the link and it takes me to a page that says error and stops loading

Confusing the hell out of me.

You only want the install exe. Your issue seems to be that you picked the default EUI install from the drop down menu and it didn't install correctly. Instead of what I said, you can reinstall and pick the Vox Populi no-EUI version as Magnus said. Just run the exe and pick it from the menu, no extra steps.

Just so I understand
extract into
D:\G_Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC (in my case)
the whole folder so it will store all files under
D:\G_Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\Assets\DLC\UI_bc1
Is this correct?

Will try that.

Solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you very much to all of you guys who helped.
Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooo very much I can now enjoy the mod now and the new Civ5.

Ohoh!!!!!!!

Spoke too soon. It crashed my previous game so I started a new fresh game.

It seem to work but now I cannot build anything.
There is a production hammer so the game wants me to select a production but when I click it, it just does not do anything.

Is this normal? Do I have to do something else?
Please help.

@pzaw , normally, you would just run the exe and it would take care of everything. As your Civ5 is located in a non-standard location (on drive D instead of C), if you want to play with the EUI interface, you have to do what @ashendashin suggested (or let the autoinstaller install EUI in the default = wrong location on drive C: and then move it to the correct one on D).

Your install might be somehow botched up from all the previous attempts and there may be some leftovers. I'd delete EUI and everything in your MODs folder (you can back it up somewhere if you have some other mods there) and reinstall the whole mod from the autoinstaller (you have to move or manually install EUI again).

Also, are you sure you have all the DLCs? Aren't you running any other mods apart from Vox Populi? When in-game, you can also check which mods are enabled if you go to the menu and and click MODS - it located somewhere at the bottom of the menu dialog - below all the main menu items such as Exit Game.

Hi all thanks again for helping.
It was Emigration mod that caused it to crash.
I disabled it and works fine now.

Thanks again.
