Civ5 LAN Rejoining?

So I was testing out LAN with a buddy of mine (I use Mac Store Civ5 + G&K and he uses the equivalent on PC). Everything works fine until his game crashes for whatever reason. He restarts Civ5, but on the local games list, he cannot find the game that we have started? Is this normal? I thought I read somewhere that we can re-join LAN games?

Another question (for the future), if I had saved the multiplayer game and also exited and loaded the multiplayer game, would that have worked?

EDIT: Resolved! For some reason, I tested it out with someone else, it works fine
