I know that multiplayer is not for everyone, but I personally enjoy playing Civ VI with my friends online. We enjoy long games that we can still finish in 1 or 2 sessions till the endgame. There's also a significant multiplayer community in Civ VI called CPL, which you probably heard of.
One crucial thing that enables us is the ability to make turns simultaneously. It worked in Civ V, and it works in Civ VI. However, due to the fact that we already have some concerning multiplayer restrictions in Civ VII (such as limited number of civs in an online match), I'm afraid that developers might've needed even more optimisations to make console play and cross-play (aka play between pc and consoles) stable and performant. I'm afraid that simultaneous turns might not be in the game on release, so I'm asking: is there any evidence that simultaneous turns will be possible in Civ VII multiplayer?
