One of the biggest issues with civ5 was not actually the gameplay itself but rather the game's performance. Loading the game from launch button to main menu took a long time, loading a save took a long time, time between turns late game could be devastating.
So I know it's early but has anyone gotten to late game on huge maps yet? Can you post your thoughts as compared to how civ5 was?
I was hopeful when I saw the min specs were 64bit and 4gb of ram and recommended is 8gb. That to me implies they'll put a ton of info in ram and it'll be quicker, but it could also imply the game is just inefficient
I'm a little concerned about my cpu though. I'm still on a first gen i5-760. It's 2.8ghz and easily oc'd to 3.4, possibly higher, so it meets those requirements, but the min say it wants a 4th gen cpu which is quite a bit newer but not that huge in most game performance benchmarks.
So what do you think?
